The monthly Marquee Second Thursday Lunch is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on September 10 at Marquee Performing Arts Center, 1007 Main St., in Winfield. This month’s lunch is sponsored by RCB Bank, and features a sloppy joe sandwich, baked beans, dessert and a drink. Lunches will be served as carry-out only, there will be no inside dining. Due to an increasing number of orders, those with large orders are encouraged to call ahead at (620) 402-6688.  

The Thursday Lunches continue to be a greatly appreciated source of revenue for Marquee, especially amid the pandemic which brought on the cancellation of several major fundraising events. The loss of the annual peach sale fundraiser due to killing freezes in the Palisade area was another blow to its anticipated fundraising efforts in 2020. As Marquee continues to grow in its vision and service to the community, the organization wishes to recognize with gratitude the local businesses and organizations that sponsor the event, the volunteers who cook and serve the meals, and especially to the growing number of patrons who come out to give their support each month.  

Marquee, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit effort.
